To Any Potential Reader of Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into The World of Manners:

May 31, 2006
Dear Mr. Gray,
I just wanted to thank you again for your support in bringing Ms. Hilda’s World of Manners to our school. I wanted to bring you up to date on the great things that have happened at Kingston Primary because of your generosity.
On May 11th, we had our Awards Assembly. (please click on Awards Assembly for the flyer) At this gathering 146 of our students received their Award of Smiles for mastering their manners and goals for the year. We had a tremendous turn-out for this event and were so pleased with the number of parents who showed up to watch their children walk across the stage to meet Ms. Hilda.
After reviewing my year-end reports, I found the number of discipline referrals from my building had decreased by almost 30%. I know that this decrease was due to the skills Ms. Hilda worked on with my students. Parents have commented on how Ms. Hilda’s recommendations were carried out at home, too—even if that meant calling Mom and Dad on elbows on the table or removing their hats from their heads.
In closing, I just want to thank you again for your generosity. Many times our little school gets overlooked by businesses, so it is nice to know that we have a “fan” out there willing to help us improve our school by providing tools for our students to achieve success. I thought you may be interested in seeing the names of the children you have helped influence, so I have enclosed a copy of our notification flyer and program from our Awards Assembly. The certificate is just a small token of our appreciation. I look forward to working with you and your company again in the future.
Sincerely,
Maria Boyer
Elementary Principal

This letter is written to express how much my 8 and 10 year old niece and nephew enjoyed Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into the World of Manners. The illustrations were so well done, with intricacies that capture a child's imagination so they literally stay focused on each page. The message contained in each page was succinct and easy for the children to understand.
I heartily recommend this book to anyone who would like to introduce their children or other young loved ones to a world where manners become a lesson that is easily learned and can be practiced in everyday situations. The situations illustrated in the book are regular activities that a child encounters.
The best testimonial is that expressed from a child. When my nephew read the book and the lesson about not interrupting, it made an impression. My sister had been having trouble with her son always interrupting her when she was on the phone. Now, after reading and re-reading Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into the World of Manners, he catches himself before he interrupts his mother on the phone. I can tell, because now when I talk to her on the phone we have pleasant, uninterrupted conversation.
Wow! It's amazing how a simple lesson, once understood, can impact a child's life so well.

I tutor a young girl in the third grade and I recognized she was not using any manners. I bought Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into the World of Manners and it has been a tremendous help. She loved the book and Ms. Hilda. She recognized the details especially the hats. She also recognized the faces on the world before I did. Since I am only with her one hour a week, I talked to the teacher about helping me to observe her manners and she agreed to help me.
The next week I recognized the teacher had posted the list of manners from the book I had given her so I decided to leave it with her that week. When I returned to school, the kids were all very excited. The teacher had let my third grader read the book to the class and she was able to use it as a book report requirement.
They were also very excited about their teacher talking to Ms. Hilda on the phone and were looking forward to meeting her.
This book has also helped my child enjoy learning about manners. When I went to pick her up this week she was so excited she was interrupting her teacher. I said, "Let's remember our manners" and she put her little hand over her mouth. She knew right away what she was doing, something she had never understood before.

As parents, we are appreciative that Ms. Hilda wrote this book to help us teach manners to our children.
Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into the World of Manners is beautifully illustrated and provides clear examples on the wrong way to behave and what the correct behavior should be. The book is written in a way that even my two year old can understand how we are to behave.
This book is one of our family's favorites that we enjoy reading over and over again.

Dear Ms. Hilda,
I liked it when you came. I'm still working on elbows on the table, chewing with my mouth closed, and fighting with my Sister and my Brother. Other than that, everything is under control with my manners. My favorite hat was the quilt hat. Well, got to catch up with my manners.
Sincerely,
Courtney
Dear Ms. Hilda,
I like the book you read to us. I have been working on my manners. I have been saying please, may I, the table manners, and all the rest of the manners. You are nice. Thank you for the wonderful manners you taught us.
Sincerely,
Charlene
Dear Ms. Hilda,
