Ms. Hilda's Young Artists
Aimee is currently preparing for an upcoming art show in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, where she will show and sell artwork as an emerging artist. Her booth will offer portraits, various drawings and paintings, and wildlife scenes painted on sycamore leaves. She is also pleased to fulfill special personalized portraits/artwork orders by mail.

Storyteller makes Ms. Hilda's "Hooray for Manners" come to life at South County Borders August 9.
Storyteller Ms. Hilda introduced her newest book, "Hooray for Manners," in a special story time at 9 a.m Tuesday, August 9, at Borders in Westfield Shoppingtown-South County, 25 S. County Centerway in St. Louis. "Hooray for Manners," written in both English and Spanish, is a bilingual guide on manners for children from toddlers to elementary students. The book follows the adventures of Ms. Hilda and her young friends as they learn about 12 important behaviors that are part of good manners at any age; for example: stealing, lying, cheating, missing school, talking back and many more. Ms. Hilda and several important people in her adventure will be on hand, including Dana, the basis for one character, from Virginia Beach VA, “Little Bit” the dachshund, (one of the pets in the book) and debuting 18-year-old Illustrator, Aimee Wegescheide from Hillsboro, MO. The new book is the second in a series of Ms. Hilda’s book, showing wrong and right way to behave, to be part of teaching manners and good character to young children at home and in schools across the United States. The first book, Ms. Hilda's Adventure Into The World of Manners," has 10 + printings in the United States alone. "Ms. Hilda" has been featured in English and Spanish language newspapers in Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Illinois & California.
Author Hilda E. Tamez Schryver lives in Bloomington, MN with her husband, Mr. Tim (one of the characters in the the Ms. Hilda books). Hilda is a corporate trainer, teacher, and a mother with a very well-mannered adult child. Schryver is an entrepreneur and owner of Ms. Hilda (www.mshilda.com) as well as Schryver Enterprises, LLC (www.schryverenterprises.com)--celebrating its 25th year in business, and a member of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.

De Soto School District-- Principles: Mr. Mark Prickard & Assistant Principle, Mrs. Mann Teachers to be recognized: Mrs. Boeving, Mrs. Hahn, Mrs. Patterson, Mrs. Meyer, Ms. Valle Ms. Hilda will be presenting the Award of Smiles to the Athena first grade students on Thursday, May 5th. Ms. Hilda will be presenting the Award of Smiles to Vineland first grade students on Friday, May 6th. Congratulations to all these students and their teachers. |
Ms. Hilda is working on a CD. It will have her theme song, "There are smiles everywhere when you practice good manners." It will also have an audio version of the book, read by Ms. Hilda, as well as an accompaniment track for the theme song.

Upcoming appearances
Ms. Hilda and the students along with the teachers of Kingston Elementary are working on a manner per month in order to achieve 90% improvement by May 2006. The students are diligently working and improving their manners in order to receive a personalized "Award of Smiles" certificate.
Ms. Hilda wears a different hat for each presentation and the
the students create a different Ms. Hilda hat for each visit and the manner
for December is Interrupting.
Ms. Hilda is so proud of these students. They are working at achieving their
goal. Thank you to the teachers and Principal for their support and follow-through.
